SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 Sports) - Jazz teammates Derrick Favors and Gordon Hayward have been picked to play on the USA Select team this summer, leading up to the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

The USA Select team is made up of players who practice against the guys who are actually going to London.  The Select squad also includes players head coach Mike Krzyzewski could consider for future Olympic Games and World Championships.

With the Jazz getting younger, Favors could become the face of Utah's franchise. The soon-to-be 21-year-old averaged 8.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and one block this season.  Meanwhile, in his 2nd year, Hayward averaged 11.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists.

Team USA begins practicing for the London Games in Las Vegas July 6.  The final roster for the Americans isn't expected to be finalized until July 7.

Here is the USA Select team roster, a source told Matt Steinmetz of CSNBayArea.com:

DeMarcus Cousins — Kings
Jeremy Lin — Knicks
Klay Thompson — Warriors
Kyrie Irving — Cavaliers
John Wall — Wizards
DeMar DeRozan — Toronto
Paul George — Pacers
Gordon Hayward — Jazz
Kawhi Leonard — Spurs
DeJuan Blair — Spurs
Ryan Anderson — Magic
Taj Gibson — Bulls
Derrick Favors — Jazz

The Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games is on Friday, July 27.
