Former District One Representative Jim Hansen has stepped out of the Washington D.C. political circle for a while, but that hasn't stopped him from staying involved. In this segment, he talks about some of the current issues going on.
While in office, Hansen was chair of the ethics committee, and that brought it's share of difficulties.
"Of all the cases I looked at, all but one of them went to prison, and some of them are still there," Hansen says.
While as the chair of that committee, "We tried to completely dissolve the issue of political stuff." They never had a party-line vote.
But as for those in office now, Hansen says that there are some who love to be on TV and like the attention. But there are also those who get the work done.
"They're trying their best to get things right."
