SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - A major cold front hit northern Utah just as the morning commute was starting Tuesday morning.
The wind started, the rain came, and then the snow.
The storm rolled into the Wasatch Front in the early morning hours, starting in Box Elder, Morgan, Weber and Davis Counties, reaching Salt Lake by the height of the commute.
An area of lake-enhanced snow is affecting the Tooele Valley as well as portions of Salt Lake County. Lake enhancement plus good instability will allow snow showers to linger into Tuesday evening for much of the Wasatch Front.
The best area of lake effect snow Tuesday night through Wednesday will be the Tooele Valley.
