SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort has canceled plans to offer chairlift rides during the first two weekends of its customer appreciation days as more than a foot of snow has accumulated at the top of the Peruvian Express.
Guests are still welcome at the resort this weekend and next to use the ropes course, bungee trampoline and children's inflatable activities area. Or they can receive a free aerial tram foot passenger ticket redeemable Oct. 29-30 or Nov. 5-6, weather-permitting.
To take advantage of either option guests may bring a can of food or hygiene item to the resort, or make a $3 donation to Wasatch Adaptive Sports starting Saturday through Nov. 6 between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.
