A local charity is trying to raise awareness about a syndrome that affects many kids right here in the state of Utah.  It's called Prader-Willi Syndrome. PWS is a genetic disorder that impacts the hypothamalus of the brain It causes a chronic feeling of hunger that can lead to excessive eating.  Prader-Willi Syndrome is a lifelong struggle for these kids and their families.  They often have conditions such like mental retardation, depleted muscle tone, and delays in development as a child.

There is a contest where a local charity can win 250,000 or 100,000 and you can help these kids and their families by voting at the Vivint link below.

Dear Marti, This is a very good cause, I looked up the info and couldn't help but look around at people I know, includeing myself and started picking apart traits. I do not beleive I have this problem although most of my step sister's children do and have had to be tube feed, but they are some of the smartest children I've ever seen. I hope I'm not too late to vote for the cause, I will certianly try to do it now. I think my problem is not understanding approprate conversations, what to shaire and what to hide, although it's discussed at work inapproprate would refere to conversations that are raceist, sexual, or use swearing. I think after the experiances I've had, not only are those conversations off limmits, but also criptic and strange. Even if the answers are wanted, people are best off being told something like "I just don't feel well", it's best to keep conversation upbeat and simple. Even then I make mistakes, perhaps I should try to listion and respond only to others comments and keep myself out of conversations, as it is I take my breaks alone to avoid problems. It's all too confusing to me.
