OREM, UTAH (ABC 4 News) - Police arrested a man who broke into an Orem home "buck naked." The home owners, Jeannine and Glade Gordon, tell me that on Friday morning at 2:45 they heard a noise. Jeannine said, "I thought it was him." And Glade said, "I thought it was her walking around." That's when Jeannine realized someone was inside their home. So, she went to investigate while Glade called 911.
As Jeannine came into the front room she saw a naked man sitting in a chair. (see photo) "He was just sitting there in the chair. He tried to get up and I said just sit down there." The man, identified by police as Hector Flores, stayed in the chair for a few moments, but Jeannine says he got up and bolted for the back door. He then ran into the bushes and toward the back fence. Jeannine says he broke a tree branch climbing over the fence and was arrested - still naked - in the backyard of the neighbors house.
Glade and Jeannine says they lost a little sleep that night, but the "bandit in the buff" didn't steal anything. As Jeannine says, "Everybody keeps asking did he take anything? I said he didn't have any pockets."
Police arrested Flores on one count of burglary, as well as misdemeanors for lewdness and intoxication. He is in jail on a $10,000 cash bond.
