There's all the comments about it being right across the street or in my neighbor's back yard. Where did this take place??? Kind of forgot to mention what area of WVC this is in.

I'm her nextdoor neighbor, it's a legit story. I just wanted to say a big Thank You to Skye's The Limit (a reptile hobbiest). I had a gentleman come over to my house this evening, he is searching the neighborhood trying to find the snake that bit my neighbor. I am terrified of snakes but he was so concerned for the well being of the snake it made me think twice about being so skiddish. He's helping the neighborhood by searching for the snake, but he's helping the snake too by finding it and treating it hummanely. Thanks Skye and family for helping me see snakes just a bit differently and, yes, I would love for you to bring him back over when you find him. - The Baptist Lady

Kritter, I meant to say almost killed her dog not killed, my bad. Snaman412, what's not believable, it happened I live less than 100 yards from her house. It's a legit story she is not making it up!

This is Reptile Rescue Service. There are too many holes in this story for it to be believable, but assuming that there a large snake on the loose, please call us. Apparently, we are the only agency qualified to deal with a situation like this. If the snake is sighted again, please call 801-860-2497 or 801-599-0922.

It is unlawful for the owner of any fierce, dangerous or vicious animal to permit such animal to go or be off the premises of the owner unless such animal is under restraint and properly muzzled so as to prevent it from injuring any person or property. Every animal so vicious and dangerous that it cannot be controlled by reasonable restraints, and every dangerous and vicious animal not effectively controlled by its owner or person having charge, care or control of such animal, so that it shall not injure any person or property, is a hazard to public safety, and the director of animal services shall seek a court order pursuant to section 8.04.220 of this chapter, or its successor section, for destruction of or muzzling of the animal. i live right across the street and i got my 5 yr old son and my girlfriends 2 yr old daughter and i think that this situation is a bunch of crap i mean it could crush either of the kids .. so now wat i guess we have to quarantine the kids inside the house and make sure that a snake doesnt find its way in i mean w t f people im thinking their needs to be some changes made and quick .. guarantee im a start bright and early on animal control ..you can take that to the bank and cash it and whoever lost their snake and didnt bother to try to inform their neighbors at all should probably not own snakes any more i mean it isnt common to have a wild one just lurking round our yards . so who ever owns the hungry pet python ..well dont be expecting to see it home any time soon if i see it im a kill the damn thing not to mention im going to find a agency that will also

Took place one street over from my house! This story makes the animal services and Wildlife services sound pretty incompetent! Nothing they can do because it's not venomous, and they have no one trained to handle snakes, REALLY? I'm sorry but that's pretty ridiculous. There is such a thing as snakes in Utah. Might not but be poisonous but pretty nervous to let my 1 and 3 year old play in my backyard if this snake almost crushed this lady's hips and killed her dog. Pretty sure it could kill a child if it was a big python like I've heard.
