SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - The presidential campaign has gone to the dogs.

First, Democrats went after Mitt Romney for putting his family dog on top of the car.

But now, Republicans are barking at President Obama for eating dog as a young boy.

After years of being in the doghouse for putting his Irish Setter on top of his car,
Mitt Romney now finds the shoe on the other paw.

There was a lot of internet tail wagging Wednesday over a tidbit from Barack Obama's autobiography.

In it, the president recalls that, as a small boy, his step-father served him a dish with dog as an ingredient.

So, we went down to Salt Lake County's Animal Services to get some reaction straight from the
horse's dog's mouth.

We asked the canines there about both of the candidates.

Check out their reaction on the accompanying video clip.
