MOAB, Utah (ABC 4 News) - Daniel Suelo doesn’t have a dime and he likes it that way.

“I didn’t want to rely on money and then I realized all I have to rely on is here and now,” Suelo said.

The 51-year-old Colorado native calls a Utah cave home. It is on public land outside Moab.

Suelo believes money is an addiction so he gave it up nearly 12 years ago for the opportunity to live off the land.

“It was a grand feeling,” Suelo said.

His mission is to use only what is freely given or discarded. Meals come by the way of road kill. He bathes in creeks without soap.

Suelo said he finds peace in happiness with the solitude of nature.
“Everywhere I go is home,” Suelo added. “I ceased thinking that my home was somewhere else. My home is right here.”

If everyone did this, there would be peace on Earth. Daniel, I think you are amazing. I would give anything to be able to the same. Seriously...is it possible? Where?

If everyone did this, who would these people sponge off of?
