SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - It looks like Utah may finally be about to land its very own Trader Joe's.
ABC 4 News is being told that the popular grocer has been in Salt Lake recently scouting potential store locations and that negotiations are "on-going."
According to our sources, Trader Joe's has been closely looking at several possible store locations for months.
These locations are said to include the 4th South, 7th East area in Salt Lake and maybe an area in Holladay
We're also told that negotiations are active and continuing.
Then there were some possible clues we found on Facebook.
On the Facebook page, “Trader Joe's Should Go the Distance...Salt Lake City,” we found an interesting post from someone claiming to be a Trader Joe's employee.
According to him, in a recent company bulletin, it reportedly asks who might be interested in re-locating and that one of the re-location sites is Salt Lake.
Another post is from someone claiming to have seen an internal Trader Joe's memo.
It also suggests Salt Lake is on the expansion list.
There are more than 3,600 members on this fast growing Facebook page.
Now, we did try to get a comment from Trader Joe's.
But we were told that there is nothing new to report.
