Salt Lake City (ABC 4 News) This week authorities from are looking for a federal fugitive, a man who police say tried to strangle his girlfriend at a Salt Lake City family shelter and a woman wanted for drug distribution.
Salt Lake City Police want to find Haile Joseph James. The 26-year-old is wanted on five local warrants - including domestic violence and assault here in Utah. And he is also wanted in the state of Oregon. Police say he tried to strangle his girlfriend while at a family shelter in Salt Lake. Police describe him as African American, 6'-0" tall and 160 pounds.
We also want to highlight Crystal Moreno. The 31-year-old has four separate warrants - some felonies - out of Utah County for distribution of a controlled substance. She is 5'-0" tall, 115 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. She also has a tattoo on her left shoulder that says "Moreno".
Then there is federal fugitive Martin Muchnick Lawrence. Lawrence is wanted in connection in a drug case involving five-thousand pills of ecstasy. U.S. Marshal's say he is doing everything he can to avoid capture, including abandoning his wife and kids. The 32-year-old could be on the run with his brother Mark Lawrence. Police say he's Polynesian 5'10", 240 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. Lawrence also has a small mole on his left cheek.
