OGDEN (ABC 4 News) - An Ogden woman escaped from the apartment of a man who she claims held her captive for several days, authorities said Wednesday.

The unidentified woman ran from the apartment to a neighbor's house on Harrison Blvd. in Ogden, where she called police for help. Arriving officers went to the apartment to question the suspect, Jonathan Odell, 35, who immediately barricaded himself inside. Odell emerged and was taken into custody a short time later.

The victim told authorities that Odell had kidnapped her and held her against her will inside of his apartment. During captivity, she said, Odell assaulted her. The woman was taken to the hospital with multiple injuries. She was listed in stable condition Wednesday night.

Odell was booked into the Weber County Jail on charges of attempted criminal homicide, aggravated kidnapping, possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person, interruption of a communication device, and five felony warrants.
