UTAH COUNTY (ABC 4 News) - Police say one woman was killed after a man driving a Dodge truck fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into an SUV.

Police say 64-year-old Deanne Rogers was one of five people riding in a GMC SUV headed east when the Dodge struck their vehicle.

According to police, the driver of the Dodge truck, 75-year-old Frank Naylor, was headed westbound and told police he dosed off.

The accident happened on SR-6 near mile marker 193.

As the road curved to the right, police say Naylor's truck crossed the middle line and crashed into the GMC, ripping off the left side of the SUV and causing it to slam into a concrete barrier.

Police say Rogers was ejected from the vehicle despite wearing a seatbelt.

Police say that among the passengers was a 10-year-old boy who was listed in serious condition, while all other passengers received minor or no injuries.
