HIGHLAND Utah (ABC 4 News) - Police are looking for a suspect who attacked a female jogger two weeks ago.
The woman was attacked near 6000 West and 10800 North in Highland according to a spokesperson with the Lone Peak police department.
Police say the woman was prepared and gave her attacker a once over before he fled.
"We have a description of a young male who had come from the bushes and attacked her," says Lt. Brian Gwilliam.
But little else is known about the suspect's description.
It was 5:30 in the morning on September 22nd when the woman jogger was attacked.
"She had a flashlight in her hand and she hit him with the flashlight," says Lt. Gwilliam. "She was also prepared and had some pepper spray with her."
Police say the attacker was pepper sprayed and fled.
As for the jogger, she was able to continue running all the way to the police station.
"She was prepared and our hats go off to her," says Lt. Gwilliam.
He says this should serve as a reminder that daylight is disappearing.
"Women need to be careful," says Lt. Gwilliam. "The should jog with a friend or if they can't be prepared or run in lighted areas."
