Woman crashes into police then tries to flee

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) A Utah woman is behind bars after running a red light and smashing into a police car. The accident happened Sunday morning on Main street. 

After hitting the police car, Brandy Moore allegedly got out of her car and ran away with her four year old daughter in her arms. She was eventually caught by the office and arrested for "hit and run," "resisting arrest," and "assault on a police officer."

The 4-year-old was in a safety seat at the time of the crash and was uninjured.
