.WEST VALLEY CITY (ABC 4 News) - Police are looking for a man suspected of killing another man inside a home late Sunday night.
For now, police won't say who was killed and are still trying to identify the person responsible for his death.
It was close to midnight when police responded to a 911 call.
"One adult male was indeed deceased," says Sgt. Jason Hauer. "Multiple rounds had been fired within the residence."
Once inside the home, police discovered as many as ten people were living inside the home. They say no one else was hurt.
But the suspect took off and hasn't been found. The landlord of the home says this comes as a surprise to him."
"They've lived there for about five years," says Leroy Nguyen. "They're really good people and I've never had any problems with them at all."
But he had no idea there were so many people living inside the home.
"As long as they paid the rent in full I didn't bother them," he says.
After taking inventory, police learned what the landlord didn't.
"The house has been subdivided out a little bit," Sgt. Hauer says. "There are different rooms."
But in this case, the large number of witnesses helped police. They're now after a possible suspect.
"We do believe he lived inside this home," says Sgt. Hauer.
Meanwhile the landlord is just coming to grips with the bloody scene inside his property.
"It's horrible," says Nguyen. "I first saw it on the news today and I saw that it happened on my property. I never expected something like this. It's very hard."
