WEST JORDAN, Utah (ABC 4 News) – A West Jordan neighborhood wakes up to thousands of dollars in vandalism damages. Instead of heading to work this morning dozens of residents near 5000 west 8380 south were fixing their flat tires.

Lorenzo Mike said, "I woke up this morning tried to go to work and found the tires were all flat. After looking at them closer we found somebody knifed them."

Mike had two cars vandalized and three flat tires. "They flattened out my wife's tires and then I guess they did my truck,” said Mike. "Within four houses we have five cars that are flat."

As many as 50 vehicles were hit by the vandals; some had several tires on the same car slashed.

It appears random but they may have one thing in common.

"Last night was the first night I left my porch light off,” said Mike.

That's the same case for Monique Hunter.

Hunter said, "They were on but I turned them off right before I went to bed. I won't be turning them off anytime soon"

Like Mike, Hunter and her husband are going to have to spend lots of money replacing several tires.

Hunter said, "We have to replace all four tires on my truck and two on my own car."

West Jordan Police are asking if you have any information to go ahead and give them a call.
