SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - Utah skiers and boarders may find it hard to sleep Friday night. Saturday is a powder day. All the snow Utah has received the past couple of days will be coating the slopes.

Whether you're on the ski slopes, or the sledding ones, there's a lot of fun to be had Friday in Utah's mountains.

"There's a ton of powder obviously," said Brandi Rood, visiting the ski resorts.

"I'm from Wisconsin, so this is something I'm not really used to," said Jake Roreg, visting the ski resorts.

"It never gets old," said Christopher Sanchez, visiting the ski resorts.

Right now resorts are having a ball with Mother Natures' latest winter blast. But there is such a thing as too much fun. If you look at a photo of Reporter Brian Carlson’s left hand, it’s severely swollen, that’s what happens when you go off a ski jump a wipeout at the bottom.

Friday a few Sugarhouse sledders almost found out the same way Carlson did.

"We're going to get hit! I just saved your life!” said Brendan Clary, sledder.

So far the risks aren't outweighing the reward.

"Haha, she was smiling when she came down so I guess she had a good time," said Destinee Chacon of her young daughter.

If you ask skiers and snowboarders they'll take what they can get.

"Anything is better than last year," said Andrew Duggar, visiting the ski resorts.

You can see a taste of what Utah has to offer during winter, just make sure when you're done, your thumbs are the same size.
