All this hoopla brings to mind what my long time Sioux Indian friend once told me many years ago, he having been reared in abject poverty among the Catholics on a desolate reservation in South Dakota: "I always thought the Jesuits were bad, until I met the Mormons." I expect I'll always remember that as his eyes riveted my attention as much as his words.
