SALT LAKE (ABC 4 News) - Members of the Utah Army National Guard's Second Battalion, 211th Aviation, returned home Saturday after a year deployment to Afghanistan.

Pilots and crew arrived from Afghanistan at Fort Hood, Texas earlier this week for a demobilization process.

Their mission in Afghanistan was to transport personnel and equipment via UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters in the U.S. Central Command area of operations in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Approximately 65 soliders returned home to dozens of family members, despite a 10 day delay in their schedule due to flight restrictions in Afghanistan.
