TOOELE COUNTY, UTAH (ABC4 News) - The UHP says a texting-while-driving incident has left a woman in her mid 20's without her car, but still alive.
The Utah HIghway Patrol said the diver of a semi-truck was on the shoulder of westbound I-80 taking pictures of the artificial tree in the salt flats when the truck was struck by a Honda Civic.
The driver of the semi was not hurt, according to the UHP, while the accident closed both lanes of traffic as drivers were able to pass using the shoulder.
According to the UHP, the driver of the Honda was transported to University Hospital with cuts and bruises. It was unclear how many citations the driver received, but she was cited for texting while driving.
