SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) Two people are dead after their truck slid off an interchange crossing a railroad.

The maroon Dodge Ram was travelling eastbound on I-215. Around 8:30 a.m., the truck slid on interchange onto I-15 going northbound. Officer say speed and icy conditions were factors.

The truck went over the guard rail and fell onto the train tracks below.

The victims were a man and a woman in their twenties. The woman was also about 36 weeks pregnant and attempts to save the baby's life were made, but the injuries were too severe. Four dogs were also in the truck, none surviving the fall.

Witnesses reported the truck driving about 65 miles per hour, considered too fast for the interchange and the icy conditions.

FrontRunner trains were temporarily delayed until debris were removed from the tracks.

Where is the road not being de-iced and obvious low guard rails part in your lop sided blame the victims version?
