WEST JORDAN, Utah (ABC 4 News) – West Jordan Police have arrested three people in connection with a bank robbery. The suspects are also responsible for a second bank robbery.
Two suspects entered the University of Utah Credit Union on South Redwood Road, just after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The suspects showed a handgun and demanded money. The suspects left the bank on foot with an unknown amount of money.
Officers in the area saw suspects matching the descriptions of the robbers.
One suspect was stopped, and two were able to flee the area in a gold Jeep.
The individual, Police stopped, was found to have been involved with the robbery and found to be in possession of the cash taken during the incident.
Officers received information from about suspicious activity occurring at a home located at 1369 West 7200 South.
When officers arrived they found clothing in the yard of the home matching the description of what had been worn during the robbery.
Officers contacted the residents and the second suspect was located as well as a female who was found to be the driver of the Jeep.
During the investigation officers determined that these suspects were also responsible for the robbery of the Mountain America Credit Union that occurred on January 9, 2013 in West Jordan.
The suspects are identified as Pablo Montano age 28 of West Jordan, Steven Trent Morrison age 31 of South Jordan, and Kasey Sorter age 26 of West Valley.
The three suspects were booked into the Salt Lake County Jail, and federal bank robbery charges are pending.
