SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - Police say a suspect in the shooting death of a 16-year-old boy has been arrested following a high-speed chase in Salt Lake City.
According to a probable cause statement, Frank P. Reyos was taken into custody for parole violations. The same document alleges that Reyos told a witness that he admitted to killing Kenyatta Winston and dumping his body in a Sugarhouse field sometime before August 29, when
Winston's body was discovered.
He was last seen alive on August 26, getting into a silver 2010 Dodge Nitro.
The statement said that police had probable cause to arrest Reyos for questioning in the murder of Winston, and that investigators were led to the owner of a silver 2010 Dodge Nitro named Jessica Reyos.
During questioning, Jessica Reyos admitted to loaning the Dodge to a man named "D" but refused to identify or lead investigators to him for fear of retaliation.
Jessica Reyos was
arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of Obstruction of Justice.
The PC statement also said that blood evidence connected to the death of Winston was also found inside the Dodge.
