SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - Sherrie Beckering was found guilty of one count of Aggravated Abuse of a Vulnerable Adult for her role in the death of 22-year-old Christina Harms.
Her husband, 53-year-old Dale Beckering, was convicted by a jury of felony abuse of a disabled adult in February of this year.
Harms was found dead by UPD and Unified Fire Authority officials on March 25, 2010 in a small closet bound in a "crucifixion manner."
Police said her death was caused by by dehydration and lethal levels of Benadryl.
Prosecutors said Harms was physically abused by Sherrie Beckering, her husband Dale, and their daughter Cassandra Sheppard.
Sheppard was the victim's care taker and legal guardian, she's facing murder charges. Dale’s wife Sherrie is also charged with aggravated abuse of a disabled adult intentionally.
Sherrie Beckering will be sentenced on November 2, 2012.
