Sheriff IDs teen killed in rollover near Lapoint

LAPOINT, Utah (AP) - Uintah County authorities have identified a 17-year-old boy who died over the weekend after his car slid off a road near Lapoint.

Officials say Skyler Christensen of Fort Duchesne was killed in the single-car rollover crash about 3:30 a.m. Sunday. Another male juvenile was a passenger and suffered cuts and bruises.

Uintah County Chief Deputy John Larsen tells The Salt Lake Tribune it appears Christensen was driving at a high speed and was possibly under the influence at the time.
