OREM, Utah (ABC 4 News) – The search is on for a burglar who broke into two stores at the University Mall in Orem.

Police said Saturday at 4:16 a.m. a man broke the glass at the one of the entrances of University Mall. They said he then used bolt cutters to hack through the metal gates at Morgan Jewelers, and he also broke into Le Nails. Police said he stole cash from both stores but would not divulge how much.

Surveillance cameras captured footage of the man as he cut through the gates and opened the cash registers.

Police said he appears to be roughly 5’9” with an average build. He was wearing dark clothing including a mask and gloves.
