PROVO, UT (ABC4 News) - Provo police arrested a man for making a number of non-emergency 911 calls.
Provo police were dispatched to the area of 900 South and 100 East after a call came into 911.
After the police arrived the paramedics proceeded to inform the police that the person at that residence, 38-year-old Benjamin Bang, had already called 911 previously that day.
Police said the call had been made not once, twice, or three times, but four times.
Paramedics said in addition to the four calls Bang had also already been transported to the hospital and released because no medical attention was needed.
When an officer asked Bang why he needed an ambulance he initially refused to answer but eventually said it was because he needed a drink of water.
Bang was arrested for abusing the 911 system.
