PAYSON, Utah (AP) - Charging documents allege a Payson couple robbed and killed their drug dealer so they'd have money for a ring and the holidays.
Documents filed Monday shed light on the death of 28-year-old Jeff Jensen on Nov. 23.
Police say 26-year-old Stephan Sutton and his 20-year-old girlfriend, Chaelisa Nielsen, planned to lure Jensen to an abandoned gas station on the promise of buying about $1,000 in drugs.
Officers say they threatened Jensen with the gun, and shot him when he objected. They allegedly took his belongings.
Police say Sutton was pulled over in a routine traffic stop in Payson, but escaped several times. Police eventually subdued him with a stun gun and arrested Nielsen later after finding her hiding.
Nielsen and Sutton have been charged with aggravated murder and other crimes.
