PLEASANT GROVE, Utah (ABC 4 News) - A teacher and soccer coach at Liahona Preparatory Academy is behind bars accused of having inappropriate sexual relationships with two 16 year old girls.
Police say 27-year-old Broch Degraff was the girls' soccer coach.
Pleasant Grove Police detective Ryan Armitstead told ABC 4 the two separate relationships started over text messages about school or soccer and soon turned into late night meetings.
"They would meet at Liahona school parking lot, local businesses near Liahona and they would meet at gyms and then drive to another location," explained Armitstead.
Degraff taught kindergarten at Liahona and is the son of the school's administrators.
Liahona's spokesperson, Ganel-lyn Condie, told ABC 4 News that as soon as the allegations were made and the investigation began the Degraffs fired their son and called a meeting with parents.
"The Degraffs were not going to cover this up," said Condie. "They had every right to protect their own son, but were so disheartened and saddened that this has happened that they decided to have full disclosure with the parents."
Condie also said the Degraffs even asked the parents to put it up for a vote whether or not they should close their doors.
A month later their school is still open and Broch Degraff is in jail on a $50,000 bond.
Degraff is charged with 8 counts of forcible sexual assault and Pleasant Grove police say more are coming.
