POWELL, Wyo. (AP) - Federal prosecutors say they are working on a plea deal for a Utah man suspected of robbing banks in Wyoming, Oklahoma and other states.
The Powell Tribune reported Thursday that Joshua Michael Beckstead of Ogden faces three felony counts related to robberies and attempted robberies in Cheyenne and Cody in June.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Stuart Healy told a federal judge in Casper this week the government was working on a plea deal. An Oct. 1 trial for Beckstead has been delayed.
Beckstead is charged with robbing a bank in Maysville, Okla., in June. Healy said there may be cases against Beckstead in Montana, Utah and Colorado.
