PARK CITY, Utah (ABC 4 News) - Wade Carpenter, Chief of Police in Park City, was awarded with a $5 thousand grant from USA Network and Comcast for his efforts to combat prejudice and discrimination.

The 2012 Characters Unite Award went to Carpenter for his work in his anti-bullying campaign, "Leaders for Life". Along with the grant, Wade will be featured on-air in a PSA and also online at charactersunite.com

The award ceremony was held in Park City on Friday, September 14, and drew a crowd of more than a hundred guests including Mayor Dana Williams and Senator Ralph Okerlund along with several other Council members.
