UTAH COUNTY, Utah (ABC 4 News) – A Payson mother is searching for her 11-year-old son named Sebastian West.

He walked away from Vantage Point, which is a Utah County facility for teens with behavior disorders.

Anne-Marie Welch says the last time she saw her son was Sunday at 6:00 p.m. “He was in good spirits gave lots of kisses and hugs and I told him that we’d get through this,” Welch said.

She says workers at the facility called her about 20 minutes later. “They said that he had run out the door with two other minor children and he went northbound,” Welch said.

Workers told Welch her son walked north with a 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl. Witnesses spotted them in the Pleasant Grove area.

“Just the fear and the agony and not knowing who he’s with, not knowing what he’s capable of doing right now,” Welch said.

She hopes her son reads this story.

“Sebastian I love you and please call me. You’re not in trouble and we’ll get you the help you need,” Welch said.

Call 911 if you see West.

Adding an 11 year old into a community of troubled teens is a recipe for disaster. I hope he's found safe!
