SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Two Utah men are accused of beefing up the inventory at their garage sale with goods stolen from a neighbor's home.

Burglary and theft charges were filed Wednesday against a 44-year-old Salt Lake City man and a 49-year-old man.

Authorities say a woman who was house-sitting for a Salt Lake City family earlier this month found the front door open and the house burglarized.

The owners returned June 2 and told police several TVs and small clocks worth about $6,000 were missing.

Officials say the homeowners went down the street to a garage sale, where they found some of the missing items.

They confronted the 44-year-old neighbor, who said his 49-year-old friend had brought the items to the sale.

The friend told police the garage sale host suggested the burglary.
