Ogden Jr. high teacher arrested for 'sexting' with student

OGDEN, Utah (ABC 4 News) - Police say a former Ogden junior high school teacher was arrested on suspicion of 'sexting' with a 14-year-old student.

Police say 26-year-old Liza Anne Roberts faces a second degree felony for sexual exploitation of a minor and a third degree felony for dealing in harmful material to a minor.

Roberts, who no longer works at Ogden's Mound Fort Junior High is accused of purchasing a cell phone for a student and then using the phone to send sexual images and texts to the 14-year-old.

Police say a search warrant was conducted and confirmed partially nude photos were transmitted back and forth between two phones owned by Roberts.
