Roosevelt, Utah (ABC 4 News)- A Natural Gas oil rig caught on fire early Tuesday morning, forcing evacuations and filling the sky with flames.

Evacuations were put into place once the fire started near 2000 North Crescent road.  Those evacuations will remain until the owner and operaters of the rig find the area safe.

Duchesne County Sheriff tells ABC4 News, investigators are still trying to determine why the well caught fire.  The area was evacuated without any injuries, but the possibility of H2s gas prohibits anyone from returning home.

The well site is owned by Devon Energy and Frontier Drilling is drilling the location.
