WOODLAND, Utah. (ABC 4 News)- Two dogs were viciously attacked by three mountain lions in a residential area, early Tuesday morning.

Officers with the Department of Wildlife Resources were called in right away. The mountain lions were captured within minutes, and all three were put down.

One dog survived the attack. Sadly, the other one died.

The two dogs were less than a mile apart at the time of the attacks, and did not have the same owner. The dog that survived was running loose.

Phil Douglas with the DWR said that the most susceptible animals to attacks are ones that are tied up in yards and cannot get away.
