SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) Winter weather caused Utah Highway Patrol to busy during the morning commute, Thursday.

As of 6 a.m. UHP reported 25 accidents in Salt Lake County and two in Utah County.

UHP reports there was a jack-knifed semi truck on westbound I-80 near the quarry in Parley’s Canyon around 6:15 a.m. No injuries were reported.

There was also a jack-knifed semi on I-15 at 13200 South Southbound around the same time. The semi had a gas tank leaking fuel. There were no injuries.

Utah Department of Transportation said that every snowplow they have was out work. When they are not seen they are refueling, reloading or changing the plow blade.

UHP and UDOT suggest drivers decrease travel speeds, increase following distances, and move away from emergency vehicles on the side of the highway.
