TOQUERVILLE, Utah (AP) - Utah Highway Patrol officials say they found methamphetamine in the debris of a deadly southern Utah crash near Toquerville.

Troopers say a red 1986 Corvette was headed north on Interstate 15 about 2 p.m. Monday when the driver somehow lost control. The car crossed through a closed construction zone before launching off an embankment.

Authorities say the Corvette rolled end over end before landing on its roof.

The driver died on the scene. He's been identified as 63-year-old Cedar City resident Robert Mohlengraft.

Troopers are investigating whether Mohlengraft was under the influence at the time of the crash.
