SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - Donna McAleer held onto a large lead to defeat fellow Democrat Ryan Combe in the Utah primary race for the U.S. Congressional District 1 seat on Tuesday.

McAleer was leading over Combe 72 to 27 percent with 84 percent of precincts reporting.

McAleer will face incumbent GOP Representative Rob Bishop in November's general election.

I wish we did not have secret ballots anymore. Then we could tell who voted for which candidate, so we could ask them exactly why they did it, and then have a talk about their decision-making process. Donna is such a horrible person who mistreated everyone else in the party during this primary, it makes little sense that anyone would vote for her who knew anything at all about this race.
