Man tased and keeps running at UVU

OREM, Utah (ABC 4 News)- Students watching an outdoor play at Utah Valley University witnessed a unexpected real life act.

Robert Fletcher, a student is accused of disturbing the play, Cato being put on by the UVU theater department  

He allegedly broke a prop and ran back stage after being tazed by police. 

Aubrey Bench witnessed the incident, "things escalated so quickly" she said "you could hear the electrical current in the air it was super crazy."

Bench said Fletcher is a known trouble maker to the theater department and claims that this not the first time he has caused problem's on the UVU campus.  "some people thought it was part of the play.  They quickly realized it was not part of our show."

School officials say police only deploy a tazer as a last effort to control a suspect.  Fletcher remains in jail as of Tuesday night charged with one felony of damaging a jail cell, as well misdemeanors for interrupting school activities, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, trespassing and theft.
