WOODS CROSS, Utah (ABC 4 News) - Police say a man was killed after being hit while trying to move a dead deer on the side of a road in Woods Cross.

Police say the victim had pulled over to get a dead deer out of the road, but on his way back to his car he was hit by an SUV.

The incident happened at 1800 South Redwood Road.

Police are investigating the accident, but say they have no plans on charging the driver.

Very sad. Obviously this gentleman had a kind heart, and was also concerned for other drivers striking the deer.
