WEST POINT, Utah (ABC 4 News) - Police say a motorcycle rider was killed after colliding with a truck in West Point Monday morning.

Police say the driver of a Ford F-350 pickup was traveling south on 2000 West and 300 North when the driver of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling north on 2000 West.

Police say the driver of the truck turned left in front of the motorcycle, and they collided head-on.

According to police, the motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, was killed on impact.

No one in the pickup was injured.

The crash is still under investigation, but preliminary reports suggest the pickup driver may have committed an illegal left-hand turn.

The deceased victim was a man in his 60's. His name was withheld from publication, pending notification of relatives.
