PAYSON, Utah (AP) - A 25-year-old Spanish Fork man remains in Utah County Jail in connection with a fatal stabbing at a house party in Payson.

Police say 36-year-old William K.C. Wright suffered two stab wounds in the altercation about 4 a.m. Wednesday when he refused to allow an underage person to attend a party at his home.

Payson Police Lt. Bill Wright says a teenager was turned away from the house and returned with an older cousin, identified as Keenan John Thompson.

Thompson was arrested later Wednesday and held on suspicion of first-degree homicide and obstructing justice. Jail records show he also is being held on a probation or parole violation and has a warrant for an unrelated drug charge.

Police say the 15-year-old also may face possible obstruction charges.
