SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - The Mahogany fire burning in Morgan County is 100 percent contained, while the Echo Jr. fire burning near Coalville is nearing full containment.
The Mahogany fire, which started burning yesterday afternoon between the towns of Morgan and Stoddard, did approach ten canyon homes, before being turned back.
It did burn over 100 acres before being put out.
The fire was human caused and the Morgan County man responsible for starting the fire has been cited for reckless burning.
Meanwhile, the Echo Jr. wildfire, burning twelve miles northeast of Coalville, is 60 percent contained. Crews expect full containment of this fire by Friday night.
