Dennis, I can't imagine you have even read the complaint. Its pathetic in its presentation and presents NO basis for dismissal or even sanction. You have obviously never worked within a thankless bureaucracy. The fact that the county prosecutors haven't even mentioned the situation is a blaring indicator of how ludicrous the complaint is. It's a pathetic piece of legal work with no substantive basis in anything but bitter tripe. It is a shining example of what bitter, disturbed and petty minds can accomplish. Since you are such an outspoken advocate of the justice system, how about advocating open hearings with the right to confront your accusers. I'll tell you why that doesn't happen, because there are many, like these parents, that want to anonymously act as judge, jury and executioner. I'm certainly not an advocate of any threats or bullying but I am certainly in favor of the actions of those parents being vetted in the full light of day. I will vehemently dissent any individual or any group that works in the Machiavellian ways these parents did.

What's wrong with this picture? It's okay for "Touchdown Tony" to pocket $5,375 in ill-gotten gains and yet people continue to support him, all because he's a football coach? From what I've read recently, it sounds like he ought to be coaching just over the hill at the Utah State Pen. This is surely one of the strangest stories I've ever come across, considering one can be arrested and jailed for something as minor as petty shoplifting. But even if "those parents [who] brought the scandal to light" don't seem to have the courage of their convictions, how has all this publicity managed to escape the scrutiny of Utah County law enforcement? Have they even reviewed the allegations contained in that 42-page complaint? If so, what is their position on it? This story poses far more questions than answers. Yet, in spite of its gaping holes, it does provide some rather remarkable insight regarding the operation of "family values" in Utah County and how they all treat each other when their opinions are at variance. But at least Lone Peak's resource officer "is investigating serious threats made against students" -- all because of "Touchdown Tony's" self-generated bonus and the several allegations it spawned -- which suggests where their values truly lie. It's perfectly all right to profit from acts of dishonesty as long as one is a popular coach, so don't say anything about it or you'll be subject to bullying and "serious threats." What a wonderful example for students to be taught and learn by. But if the Alpine School District condones McGeary's actions (which appears to be the case, hence he still remains on its payroll in some capacity), then perhaps the whole District should be investigated for mismanagement of the taxpayers' trust -- preferably by those whose minds aren't narrowly confined between the goal posts of a football field while law enforcement sits blindly on its hands. The rest of us would likely be charged with a crime in similar circumstances.
