LEHI, Utah (ABC 4 News) – There is not enough soccer field space in Lehi for all the kids to play on a soccer league.

One of the most popular private soccer leagues in Lehi is called Arsenal.  President Jerry Preisendorm says he had an unwritten agreement with the City soccer fields and as a result missed an opportunity to sign up in time to reserve a field.

Lehi City leaders gave a few days notice to private soccer leagues to reserve the fields on a first come first serve basis.  Arsenal didn’t worry about signing up first because its leaders assumed it would have first pick at the fields.

Preisendorm says the league’s money to reserve the fields was already in City coffers and he thought this would give him first pick. He was wrong.

Some parents are extremely upset and are pushing for a solution.

ABC 4 will continue to follow this story as parents and City leaders try to find a solution.
