SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4) - Early Tuesday morning, the second Republican with strong Utah ties will seek his party's nomination for president.

With the Statue of Liberty behind him, Jon Huntsman Jr. is expected to officially announce his candidacy for the nation's highest office.

Since Jon Huntsman is a rock and roll fan, he might like this Bruce Springsteen reference.

Given Huntsman's history of family, money and politics, you could say he “born to run.”

Jon Huntsman's father served President Nixon and other presidents would loom large in Huntsman history - even a democratic one.

Luke 12:48 suggests to whom much is given, much is expected and service pretty well sums up much of Jon Huntsman Jr's life.

Huntsman told ABC 4 as he was cleaning out the governor’s office,

"You either rise to the occasion when you have an opportunity to serve something as big as your country and your flag or you don’t."

Political sons and business fathers are part of America's political fabric.

Just look at the Kennedy clan, the Romney family and now the Huntsman’s.

Even though Jon Huntsman Jr's presidential announcement won't come until Tuesday morning, Jon Huntsman Sr. hinted at it seven years ago, after his son was first elected governor.

He told ABC 4 this about his son,

"He loves to serve and he loves to be a part of things and make decisions and make the world better. I would hope this [being governor] would not be his last position.
