SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) – The second annual Jingle Bell run/walk took place in Trolley Square Saturday morning.

The race raises money and awareness for the Arthritis Foundations. This year’s event was organized by a mom, whose daughter was diagnosed with Arthritis when she was 5 years old.

“No one wants to find out that their child has something wrong with them and that it's going to be with them their entire life,” said Meghan Mitchell, organizer. “It's life changing for them and the family and so anything we can do to raise awareness is amazing.”

This year’s event raised more than $20,000.
