SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 Sports) - The vibe around downtown Salt Lake City feels different today. That's because Utah's win over the Suns Tuesday night has the Jazz back in the playoffs for the first time since 2010, and that means everything to Jazz nation.
"It's crazy," said Jazz fan Ty Seamons. "I can't describe the atmosphere. There were people screaming in the cars and throwing streamers out their windows."
Jason More's parents flew him in from South Carolina just to go to the game.
"Unbelievable," said More. "The game was off the hook last night."
"What a great season," said Jazz fan Steven Kocherhans. "My hat's off to the players and management team."
On Tuesday night, the Jazz did something nobody else thought was possible this season....make the playoffs.
"Especially with a shortened season," added Seamons. "There wasn't a lot of high expectations for this young team."
"It's a boom for the town," said Kocherhans. "It's a great honor for the state of Utah and for Salt Lake City."
